This shelf clock features an 8-day mechanical movement with a white and brass dial and serpentine hands. The clock gets its name from the movement, which is open so that the gears show. The clock sounds a single gong on the hour. The highly detailed fretwork wood pieces beautifully highlight the simple elegance of the movement. The clock is made from walnut. The front, back and platform pieces are made from ¼” stock. The center platform support pieces are made from ¾” stock. The base is made from ½” stock. The clock is but together with bolts and brass tube separators. The clock is approximately 13” W x 14” H x 4 1/8” D.
